History/Achievements: The origins of this parish date to the year 1929, when a number of Polish families decided to seek out and establish a parish in which they could practice their faith in their our language and tradition. Many members of this group were former members of the Polish Roman Catholic parishes in Black Rock, but for reasons known to them, decided to sever ties with these parishes and form a new church. The first meeting of the church committee was held in the home of Mr.& Mrs. Tomasz Boron, at which time it was decided that the advise and guidance of Bishop Jan Jasinski of the Polish National Catholic Church, in Buffalo would be sought. In December the first Mass, said in the Polish language was celebrated by Bishop Jasinski in the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour, 1033 Grant Street.
Immediately a parish committee was formed and a site for regular church services was found. With the appointment of the first pastor, Rev. Michal Kronenberg, the parish made progress in establishing itself in the area. These were Depression years, thus the economic climate was not favorable to begin a building campaign. Through these lean years, a litany of pastors had come and gone. In 1935, the parish had secured enough monies to purchase a large brick structure at Peter and Grote Street , which would serve as chapel, rectory and social hall for the next 18 years. The small congregation made constant improvements to their building and in 1948 were able to burn the mortgage and the property was free from all debts. In 1952, the church committee learned of City owned land that was for sale, and plans were set in motion to purchase property on Grant Street, just blocks away . Under the guidance of their pastor, Rev. Ludwik Wrzesinski, the parish moved forward toward a new church. In 1953, construction of the block and sandstone church building began and culminated with the blessing of the new edifice by Bishop Tadeusz Zielinski of the Buffalo-Pittburgh diocese, on Sept .26,1954. Due to failing health, Rev Wrzesinski retired and the Rev. Mathew Kubik came as administrator. Father Kubik , the pastor of Holy Trinity parish in Lackawanna was made a duel pastor and remained in this function for over 40 years . In 1998, the Rev. Michael Kadryna was appointed pastor of the parish, which now is known as All Saints National Catholic Church.
