Polish Festival -- Call for Volunteers! Portland, OR 9/9/2005 - Did you know that the largest Polish Festival in North America west of Chicago is right here in Portland? Last year’s festival attracted over 10,000 visitors. It is operated almost entirely by more than 300 volunteers who do everything from preparing and serving Polish food, pouring Polish beer, to dancing Polish folk dances.
The Polish Festival is always the last weekend in September. This year we are inviting all able-bodied men and women to come and help us throw the biggest Polish party in the West! All volunteers will receive $5 in Festival cash for each four-hour shift worked.
