Organized by Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center,
Co-sponsored by 32nd and 1st Wards

Chicago, Ill. (July 24, 2006) – Community residents are invited to the “2nd Annual Health and FamilyFest” on August 19 from 9 a.m. until noon in the visitor parking lot at 2222 W. Division Street across the street from Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital Center. 32nd Ward Alderman Ted Matlak and 1st Ward Alderman Manny Flores join Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center to offer free health screenings for children and adults along with raffle prizes, refreshments and entertainment for the whole family.
Health screenings for children will include school physicals and immunizations. They will also have the opportunity to register for the Illinois KidCare insurance program.
Health screenings for adults will include blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, depression, height and weight. Older adults will receive identification cards.
Along with the health screenings, the event will feature activities for the entire family ranging from face painting and caricature drawings to carnival rides and making balloon sculptures. In addition, there will be refreshments and raffle prize drawings for a television/DVD combo, an Apple iPod mini and a bicycle with safety helmet.

Resurrection Health Care is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the health and well being of our communities throughout Chicagoland. Our comprehensive Catholic health care system includes hospitals, nursing homes, retirement communities, a surgery center, behavioral health services, medical office facilities, community clinics, a home health company and hospice services.
