Mission Statement:

Purpose: To help Poland and Poles scattered throughout the world. To raise funds for the relief of needy individuals of Polish heritage, institutions in Poland and wherever Polish communities exist. To support local, national and international fund drives to promote charitable and Polish cultural endeavors. To ensure that Polish culture, heritage and traditions remain an integral part of our ethnically diverse country. To support young people, recognizing that they will carry on Polish cultural legacy in the generations to come. To donate to numerous institutions, including the Polish Youth Association, Polish language schools, the Polish Museum of America, scholarship funding for the Knights of Dabrowski and many other charitable institutions.

History/Achievements:

Achievments: helped secure the Chair of Polish Language and Literature at the University of Chicago; help to establish and support the Polish Studies Program at Loyola University Chicago; supported financially the Solidarity movement; support museums, libraries, and charitible institutions in the USA, Poland and
throughout the world; and support financially any country having a catastrophic tragedy.

Additional Membership Criteria:Women interested in supporting charitable and philantropic activities in support of Polish heritage. Sponsorship is made by three members of LYPW with at least 5 years active service.
