Deklaracja Celu Organizacji: The Polish American Congress is a National Umbrella Organization, representing at least 10 million Americans of Polish descent and origin. Its membership is comprised of fraternal, educational, veteran, religious, cultural, social, business, political organizations and individual membership. The Polish American community prides itself on its deeply rooted commitment to the values of family, faith, democracy, hard work and fulfillment of the American dream. We are present in every state and virtually every community in America, on various social, business and economic levels.
Historia Organizacji/Osiągnięcia: Represented Poland at the 1945 UN Charter Conference and 1946 Paris Peace Conference; an advisory to all the U.S. Presidents; initiated legislation; granted Poland the Most Favored Nation tariff status in 1956 and credits; supported appointments of Polish Americans to high level government positions; supported Congressional funding of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, Voice of America, National Endowment for Democracy, Solidarity; supported Poland's admission into NATO.

IT’S THE “BIG 50” FOR NEW YORK’S PULASKI BRIDGE, NYC

10/27/2004 - Something new has been added to New York’s Pulaski Bridge which connects the city’s boroughs of Brooklyn and Queens. Two banners just placed at the. Brooklyn end of the bridge now announce that the crossing is celebrating its 50th anniversary. In ceremonies held at the bridge and at Greenpoint’s Polish & Slavic Center, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz presented the Downstate N.Y. Division of the Polish American Congress with the borough’s official proclamation marking the occasion. Through the efforts of Greenpoint”s Polish American community in
1954, New York City agreed to dedicate the bridge in honor of Casimir Pulaski, the Polish cavalry officer who offered his services to General George Washington in America’s War of Independence.
