PALI Receives Technology Grant from BP and ITRC

12/26/2001 - December 26, 2001 – The Polish American Leadership Initiative (PALI), a new not-for-profit organization whose formation was inspired by The Chicago Community Trust and the Archdiocese of Chicago, is pleased to have been chosen as a recipient of a technology grant provided by BP, the international energy company, and the IT Resource Center. PALI was one of 40 non-profit organizations chosen to receive a donation of surplus personal computers from BP and a technology planning seminar and two computer training courses offered by the IT Resource Center in downtown Chicago.

“We are very grateful for the technological assistance generously offered by BP and the IT Resource Center”, acknowledged Mark Chudzinski, Chairman of PALI’s Internet Committee. “As a relatively new organization, we are also proud to have been chosen by the IT Resource Center as meriting this support, which will be instrumental in the further development of PALI’s activities, including the development and public launch of PALI’s Internet-based information center for the Polish-American community, PolOrg.com”.

Nicole T. Lee and Doris Salomon of BP, together with Deborah Strauss and Jesse Sinaiko of the IT Resource Center, delivered the award to PALI Chairman Mitchell Wiet and PALI representatives on Friday, December 21st.

The mission of PALI is to enhance the participation of the Polish American community in the affairs of the greater community, serving as a resource to existing organizations.
