Les Surowiec Elected President of PACBA 6/15/2002 - On June 8, 2002, the Polish American Contractors Builders Association held a special general membership meeting to fill existing vacancies on the PACBA Executive Board. Newly elected president is former PACBA vice president Les Surowiec. Other members of the Board include immediate past president Walter Bochenek, president-elect Kazimierz Kudla, second president-elect Ryszard Dziedzic, secretary Krystyna Hryszko, and treasurer Marta Rog. Jozef Wiecek and Walter Bochenek were elected chairpersons of the Auditing Committee and Bylaws Committee respectively.
Mr. Surowiec has been an active member of the organization for many years; he is president of PACBA EXPO, an annual exposition of American home building materials and technologies. [PACBA EXPO was held in Poland in August 2000 and September 2001.] Mr Surowiec is a respected and experienced businessman and president of his own company, Brickyard Development and Construction Corporation, which has built hundreds of homes in the Chicagoland area over the past ten years.
