In 1970 Halina graduated from University of Illinois Chicago, College of Business Administration, with a Bachelor of Science in Finance degree. Afterwards her career path took her thru several Fortune 500 companies. This was possible due to her abilities, hard work, ambition and goals she has set for herself, as well as support from her parents and then her own family of two children, Renata & Gregory. This led to Halina’s nomination by Governor Jim Edgar as Assistant Director of the Department of Financial Institutions of the State of Illinois in 1991, a position she held until 1999.
Halina Bielowicz belongs to many Polish-American organizations, including Copernicus Foundation (Board Member), Polish Women’s Alliance (Group #43 President), Polish National Alliance (Lodge #3250 President), Legion of Young Polish Women, and others.
Many of Halina’s accomplishments include promoting Polish culture and traditions at the State of Illinois JRTC Center by way of commemorations, exhibits, cultural events, and programs such as Polish Constitution of May 3rd and Polish Heritage Month. Professionally, at Halina’s urging DFI sponsored seminars for Polish bankers in the formative years of Poland’s transformation in the 1990’s. Halina’s leadership role as the Chairperson of the 2003 White & Red Ball (Bal Amarantowy) of the Legion of Young Polish Women led to that year’s ball to be the most financially successful.
It is in the best interest of Polonia to elect Halina Bielowicz to the office of Maine Township Clerk.
Please support Halina Bielowicz in reaching her goal: be in morally, financially and in any other form deemed possible.
