Polska na pierwszej stronie, prasa USA 1979-89 11/18/2002 - We are pleased to inform you about our new website www.polandpageone.com which features a collection of front page articles from three major US newspapers about the historic events in Poland during the decade 1979-89. These articles have been juxtaposed with censored Polish front pages published in the official Polish press. The presented material is a unique lesson of contemporary Polish history. It also provides insights into the mechanisms of communist propganda.
Our website accompanies the exhibit "Poland on the Front Page, USA 79-89" produced by New-York-based InterAccess, Inc., which is currently on view in Warsaw, Poland. The Sept. 28 Opening of the exhibit was attended by many of the heroes of the featured reports as well as the authors.
